Hempcrete

Hempcrete is a mixture of hemp hurds, lime, sand, which is used as a material for construction that is a lightweight insulating material ideal for most climates as it combines insulation and thermal mass. It is ecofriendly, low cost with wonderful potential in NEW architectural designs.

There are not many homes that have been built using hempcrete yet but it can be used throughout the world. It may be useful in other ways: plant beds, benches, similar to earthen techniques.

The cultivation of hemp is exceptional, with long roots that aerate soil, remove toxins, restoring the pH balance for the benefit of future crops. Hemp is an entirely good and useful plant that gardeners should grow because it naturally grew wild in places throughout the world for ecological reasons.

We may link to high quality hemp products to support growers and so more people may learn to love the benefits of these plants.
